Synopsis
Bill McKay, the idealistic son of a prominent former governor, reluctantly runs for the U.S. Senate against a popular incumbent. Initially free to speak his mind due to his perceived lack of chance, McKay finds himself compromising his ideals as he rises in the polls. The campaign spirals into a study of image over substance, culminating in a haunting question about the cost of victory.
