Bona (김지연, Kim Ji‑yeon; born August 19, 1995) is a South Korean singer, dancer, and actress celebrated for her dual success in the worlds of K‑pop and television drama. Born in Daegu, she trained under Cube Entertainment before joining Starship Entertainment, ultimately debuting as a member of the girl group WJSN (also known as Cosmic Girls) on February 25, 2016. Within the group, Bona is widely recognized as the lead dancer, sub‑vocalist, and one of its visual members, helping define WJSN’s stage presence with polished performance skills and strong choreography.
Bona’s versatility helped her transition smoothly into acting. She made her television debut in 2017 with a supporting role in the KBS2 drama Hit the Top, quickly taking on more significant roles including a female lead in Girls’ Generation 1979 later that year. Her acting résumé expanded through the years with notable appearances in series such as Your House Helper and Homemade Love Story.
