Ashley Bell (born May 26, 1986 in Los Angeles, California, USA), also credited as Ashley Michael Bell or Ash Bell, is an American actress, director, writer, and producer. She is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
She made her screen debut in 2003 with a guest role on the television series Boston Public. She gained widespread critical recognition for her breakout performance as Nell Sweetzer in the horror film The Last Exorcism (2010), which earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Female. She later reprised this role in The Last Exorcism Part II (2013) and went on to appear in features such as The Day, Carnage Park, and Novitiate.
Beyond her acting career, Bell expanded into documentary filmmaking. She made her directorial debut with the 2018 feature documentary Love & Bananas: An Elephant Story, a project focused on the rescue of captive Asian elephants in Southeast Asia, which she also wrote and produced.
